SoloSteady exists to solve a problem many self-employed people hit when they apply for a mortgage: documenting income without a W-2. Freelancers, contractors, gig workers, and small business owners earn real money every month, but a tax return shows net income after deductions, which is a different number from what lands in the account.

Bank statement mortgage programs exist for exactly this reason: they underwrite on deposits instead. The catch is assembling the documentation. The usual options are sending your statements as they are and letting the lender do the arithmetic, or paying a CPA for a letter.

SoloSteady takes a different approach. You connect your bank through a read-only Plaid connection and verify your identity with a government-issued ID through Stripe Identity. Then, instead of generating a number, SoloSteady reads the deposits that landed in your account across 12 consecutive months and documents what it found. You download the summary and submit it yourself.

Who builds this

SoloSteady is a product of Culmination Digital LLC, an Arizona limited liability company operating as an independent, bootstrapped studio. Every line of code, every support reply, and every decision about what this product does comes from the same small operation.

Our commitments

• We keep only what your summary needs. Raw bank data is deleted and Plaid access is revoked about 24 hours after you connect. The counted deposits and figures in your documents are kept for 13 months, then deleted.
• Your income summary is yours to keep. The summary you paid for is emailed to you as a PDF attachment, so the copy you keep does not depend on us. The results page stays open in the same browser for 24 hours, and after that opens in any browser with a one-time code sent to the address you paid with, until your documents are deleted 13 months after purchase. Within those 13 months, support can re-send the summary to that address.
• We don't sell data. Not your email, not your income figures, not your transaction history. No advertisers, no data brokers, no "partners."
• We're honest about what this is. A SoloSteady document is an informational summary of the bank activity you connected. It's not a certified financial statement, a consumer report, or legal, tax, or financial advice, and it makes no lending decision.
